Sometimes we turn a recovery day into another list of things we are supposed to accomplish.
A walk, gentle mobility, or easy cycling can feel good after a demanding day. But once the recovery plan becomes a long checklist, it can create the same pressure as training: track it, finish it, and wonder whether you did enough.
Doing less can be a deliberate choice. Quiet time, a comfortable meal, extra sleep, or hands-on care may be the better match when your body and attention already feel full. Recovery is not less valid because it is passive.
