Being Active Does Not Mean You Always Feel Recovered

Training, work, sleep, and life stress all contribute to how recovered your body feels.

You can work out four days a week and still feel like recovery has become a part-time job.

Being active builds capacity, but it also creates demand. Add physical work, interrupted sleep, long drives, parenting, or a stressful week, and the body may feel more loaded than your workout plan alone would suggest.

That does not automatically mean you trained incorrectly or damaged something. It may simply mean the total demand is higher than the recovery available right now. Relief, food, sleep, lighter movement, and time away from performance all count as recovery choices.

Make the idea practical.

Name the three biggest demands on your body this week, including the ones that are not exercise.
