You do not have to stay awake to be a “good” massage client.
Some people talk through an entire session. Others become quiet within minutes. Both responses are welcome. The goal is not to react the right way; it is to receive care in the way that feels most comfortable that day.
If you fall asleep, I continue watching the things that matter: how your body is positioned, whether the pressure remains appropriate, and whether anything suggests you are uncomfortable. I may still check in when I need information, but you do not need to keep yourself awake on my behalf.
Rest can change from visit to visit. You may sleep during one session and feel alert during the next. Neither response determines whether the massage was successful. Your feedback after the session matters more than staying conscious for every technique.
